My 2nd monthsary gift!

Heheheheh! Not to be too sentimental or anything.. Just want to share this. Was checking my files this morning (cause my hard drive is almost full) then I saw this.. hehhehe. This was my 2nd monthsary gift to Joan.. Birthday gift narin. I tried my best to remember all the places we went to for the past 2 months as well as the movies we watched.. Some are missing cause I can't find their logos or poster on the internet.. anyway.. I have it printed 10x8 then framed it.. hehehe.. I called this gift "The Walks to Remember" corny.. but she loved it!

While doing this.. I can't believe we went to many places in just two months.. well we had "time" then.. Ngayon.. we can barely squeeze our dates with our hectic life. How I wish we could be together more often.. Just like before..

Once Upon A Time in China

My first trip out of the country! China, The birthplace of my lolo. Thanks to my super generous lola.. She paid for the my ticket and all my accomodation expenses. At last, after many years of just waiting outside the airport.. finally.. I had the chance to see what's inside that vast building! the new airport (NAIA terminal 2) was clean.. The staff were very courteous.. and the overall feel.. cozy. We were there as early as 3 hours before the departure! Knowing lola with her own "super ahead of time" time. I was excited but at the same time a little franctic during my first plane ride. But entirely the plane ride going to Xiamen China was cool.. 2 hours of just sitting was not that boring at all cause I was playing with all the things around my window seat, awestruck while looking at the clouds and even taking pictures.. Pathetic!

The Xiamen International Airport. Far better that our NAIA! But so much stricter.. Even on my first step out of the plane.. I can already feel the communist air around.. I felt harassed by this Immigration officer who was shouting at me telling me to stop taking pictures in mandarin. Apparently, the whole airport is camera shy. Well.. outside the ariport awaits China! We were fetched by Gong-ti and San-san.. our relatives from China.. and from Xiamen.. we are off to Nan-an.. the province of my lolo.

The people were so warm.. some even cried.. I wasn't expecting such display of hospitality. And as I entered my lolo's hard earned house.. I felt a little chill.. remembering my lolo who died just a year ago. I instantly feel in love with everything in China.. the people.. the culture.. the food.. and of course.. shopping!

I have the power! Feeling retarded inside the acrilic tunnel with the sharks and never before seen marine creatures.

2 days before we leave China.. Lola decided we check-in to lolo's favorite hotel in Xiamen.. That same night.. we checked the famous Zhong San Lu.. a shopping strip just behind the hotel.. And Oh my.. everything was on sale! Too bad.. I ran out of RMB to spend and we still have to save some money for airport fees! Can't wait to go back to China!

Fontana Muna! Summer 2004!

I really really miss my lola.. specially when I see pictures like these.. remembering our fun and memorable days with her.. My lola would always plan outings.. sometimes when times are hard.. she would volunteer to take charge of everything even the budget. My lola is one "lakwatsera" lola!

And one of those outings on top of my super long memorable outings list with lola would be our fontana outing march of 2004. My fontana visits as usual are always super fun! Me being a water person.. with my ever dependable swimming trunks! Hahahahah! I never swim with shorts!

Kuangchinoy! Xavier School Fair 2003!

My first Xavier School Fair as part of the Xavier Community! And so far the one I enjoyed most! I jumped from one ride to another together with Miss Karen and my sister. Imagine Miss Karen shouting her heart out during her dragon coaster ride! hahahah! Miss Karen.. nag-octopus ka ba nun?

Colloquium 2002!

My first blast from the past posting! Year 2002.. a fairly memorable year.. The year I started working with Xavier School and the year I found great friends for keeps.. the XSBUDDIES! The Colloquium (A yearly activity for new hires, usually a three day thingie before sem break) brought the gang closer.. the bond of friendship tighter.
